Change Is Necessary

The Smiling Spaza

Welcome to Brakpan, the friendliest city in South Africa! And welcome to your new job at The Smiling Spaza, where everyone is family, including the customers. It is now your responsibility to ensure seamless service to the local denizens, and to always do so with a smile on your face!

Unfortunately, due to high profit margins and the economy falling into an endless pit, we're unable to replace our card machine. In fact, it's been out of service for the past two years... weird. Anyway, this is where your expertise come to bear!

With quick thinking and smooth moves, you'll have to handle customer purchases with precision and efficiency because, until further notice,

This is a low-pressure environment, which means our customers only start shopping when you remove the TILL CLOSED divider to your right.

The locals are also fairly familiar with our point-of-sale system, so they conveniently position their items to be scanned in immediately. Following this...

CHANGE IS NECESSARY

...so please ensure you give the correct amount of change from below your nose based on the money they hand you* by left-clicking to pick up and right-clicking to put back, and always do so with a smile!

REMEMBER TO SMILE

If you're not a fan of the Billboard #1 Hit being played on endless repeat** please feel free to hit the mute button near the bottom of the radio.

*Your performance is being recorded
**We need to replace the radio too

Thank you for being here!
